A few of the pictures here are from my days as a sports journalist. My camera isn't exactly designed for sports action, because there's a noticeable lag time between when I press the button and when the camera actually takes the shot. But I learned how to anticipate -- for instance, when taking the tennis pictures, I pressed the button when my subject's opponent hit the ball.

I enjoy taking pictures of personalized license plates. Some are amusing, and some are just inexplicable. Fireworks are nice and colorful if you can time the shot just right. And animals, living or otherwise, are always good subjects.
